Classic Graphics has the good fortune of being a successful and growing company. It believes strongly in giving back to the community and the graphics industry. After a long relationship with UNCC’s Graphic Design Department, we set up a program that allows the advanced design class to print a project at Classic Graphics each semester. Under the guidance of key staff members the students take the project from design through each phase of printing, finishing and assembly. It is a hands-on experience.
Challenge
The first challenge was committing the time to making this on-going project successful. The second challenge was helping inexperienced designers work within realistic guidelines to create an implement a project, on time, on budget. We are happy to report that this interaction has become one of our most enjoyable projects. We are on our fourth project and looking forward to many more.
Design
The project was designed by the Graphic Design II students at UNCC. They designed and implemented this project under the direction of David Brodure, Professor, Graphic Design; Scott Weaver, Planner, Classic Graphics and Mike Broderick, Account Manager, Classic Graphics.
